Professor Clavin's research focuses on the history of international and transnational relations in the 20th century.
Her research interests include:
- History of regional and global organisations, and international activism
- History of food
- History of capitalism
Patricia is currently examining human security, strongly tied to questions of food security. In particular, when, and in what ways do people begin to conceive of a global food system, why and with what results? She has put together a global network of researchers on the topic: Sustainable Pasts and Resilient Futures, and is also working on the project Changing Global Orders.
